About Us

Kardinia Playgroups uses music, dance, props, instruments, sign language, books, and craft to provide a fun and engaging playgroup experience for families with children aged 0-5 years.

Our programs are written by educators and professionals in the early childhood sector and are ideal for families wanting to work on socialisation and get their children ready for day-care, kinder or primary school. All four of the sessions we offer have an emphasis on creating community and a focus on educational play.

Music Makers

This class includes a 20-minute music time, where children and carers will use our instruments, props, puppets, and action songs to explore a new theme each term. We will also encourage a love of literature with an interactive musical song book. Music Makers also includes time to explore our play space, complete a craft, and enjoy a snack together. This session runs for approx. 1.5 hours

This class is ideal for children 1 – 3 years old but is open to children of all ages.

Cost: $140 per semester

Groovy Movers

This class includes a 30-minute music and movement session for children and their carers. This session is highly interactive and engaging for all ages, as we explore music using a range of instruments, puppets, props, and action songs. Groovy Movers is a great class for families with multiple children attending and can cater to a range of age groups. Music time is followed by a snack break, play time, and a craft that compliments the story of the day. This session runs for approx. 1.5 hours.

This class is ideal for children 2 – 5 years old but is open to children of all ages.

Cost: $140 per semester

Letterbox

This session focuses on developing fine motor skills, letter recognition, expanding vocabulary, and developing a love of literature. Through singing, reading, writing, and hands-on activities children will explore letters and sounds together. This class has been developed by trained educators and professionals in the early childhood sector and is ideal for children getting ready to go to kinder or school. This class runs for a total of 1 hour.

This class is ideal for children aged 3 – 5 years old.

Cost: $140 per semester

Tiny Play

0-2 Years

A specially designed music time exclusively for babies and toddlers. This sensory engaging session encourages bonding between the child and caregiver with activities and play spaces targeting developmental milestones in this age range. Tiny Play includes a 20-minute music session followed by a sensory activity/craft and playtime. These sessions are designed so that families can easily replicate the experience at home to encourage the baby's growth and development. This class runs for a total of 1 hour.

This class is open to children aged 0 – 2 years old only.
